12 month check-up

one-year old ... September 21, 2012
Khloe had her 12 month check-up on Tuesday the 25th of September.  She did really well.  The doctor was impressed with how many words she knows.  She said that her physical development was right on target, and Khloe seems anxious and ready to walk.  Koki showed the doctor her excellent standing skills and squatted down and stood back up to show her that she's pretty stable ... just doesn't want to take that step quite yet!  Well, unless she's pushing something.  She likes to walk everywhere, as long as she can push something or hold your hands.  Dr. Tatoy, also, said that she seemed very bright, as she could say, "hi", "da-da", "ma-ma", "puppy", "pretty", "duck" (dut), "down", "nigh-nigh" (night-night), and what I'm pretty sure is "what dat?".  She says that when she points.  "What dat!?!" (pointing to everything).

She is smart, too ... when I tell her to do something.  She will do it.  "Khloe, put that back on your tray! Don't drop it."  She will look at me.  Think about it.  And then she will follow the directions.  She can bring me what I ask for, and she will listen when I tell her to do or not to do something.  I am very proud of her and how she has grown this past year.
Such a serious nelly for this photo shoot.
Dr. Tatoy gave her these growth stats:

Height: 30 inches (75th-90th percentile)
Weight: 22 lbs. 8 oz. (75th-90th percentile)
Weight for Height Percentile: 75th-90th percentile
Head Circumference: 48 1/2 cm (>97th percentile ... off the charts, really)

She loves to clap for herself!
Yay!
Big Clapper
Khloe may be tall ... she may be average.  I guess we will be able to tell more closely when she's two.  Her head will probably always be big, but so is Colton's and her Dad's ... so it is what it is!
